Mantra
My new neighbours are Maladi and Suseela from Bangalore. Sushila is a PhD in soil chemistry and the two women are here for an ayurvedic retreat.
They are both hindus and are teaching me many things. I will post a video soon with Sushilla tieing a sari – of course she is a master at this.
They chant in the morning and we were talking about our healing processes and how important the frame of mind is. The doctor tells me repeatedly that I am responding because I am positive.
Before they eat, every time, Suseela and Malady say a mantra that is fromthe Gita. I think this means the Vedic writings of the Baghavadgita. They offer the food to the gods. By this she means the digestion because that is only created by god. And digestion is fire and that is also god. Click on the youtube video below to hear this manta in its truest form – from the heart.
And everything is god: the food, the digestion, the farmers who grew and harvested the food and on and on. So blessings are “all around”. Practical spirituality.
